Adult Swim drops Justin Roiland, will continue Rick and Morty

Justin Roiland Adult Swim

Adult Swim has just announced they’ve cut ties with Justin Roiland in the wake of an ongoing domestic abuse investigation.

The network had this to say through the official Rick and Morty Twitter account:

Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland.

Rick and Morty will continue.

The talented and dedicated crew are hard at work on Season 7.

It’s interesting to see how Rick and Morty will continue without Justin Roiland as he’s one of the show’s co-creators and also the voice of both Rick and Morty.

Roiland has had a long relationship with Adult Swim and Cartoon Network where he voiced the Earl of Lemongrab between 2011 and 2018 on the cartoon Adventure Time.

Roiland also has the leading role in the video game High On Life and is the CEO and co-founder of game studio Squanch Games.

Rick and Morty just finished its sixth season which ended in December 2022. A premiere date for season seven hasn’t been announced.
